Replacing a Kenmore Range Top

First I would like to say that my experience with Sears PartsDirect has been EXCELLENT!!! They are very professional, courteous and efficient. As far as the installation process of the range top goes, I followed a YouTube video that shows you step-by-step on how to do it. It is definitely a two man job. It takes approximately one to two hours from removing the old range top, to installing the new range top. The results are definitely worth it.

My top had alot of wires on it I had to disconnect so as to be careful applying the burners to the top without breaking the glass. It was hard to do but with quite afew pictures I managed to install the top and rewire without any problems. Just make sure to get a new rubber seal that goes on the front edge of the glass. I had a problem finding one quickly.

I got chargeed way too much for the installiilation. I was told over and over when I called that the cost would be $78. When the technicion finished he said that I was going to be charged over $300. I 2will never buy anything from Sears again!! I wound up having to help he technician put the stove top in. You should have paid me!!!
