right part
it was the right burner assy, just a little long on the thermocouple and pilot tube but no real problem, may fit several models, I had no issues witht he install and workedd just fine, glad I did the whole burner rather than just thermocouple also, it's much better!

Nonfunctioning
Pilot light would not light after installed; I had to remove and tweak the igniter location with respect to the pilot nozzle. Also, the gasket was not adhered to the cover plate as it should be, so that made the installation more challenging than it needed to be. If you're buying this unit, you're pretty much stuck though, because as far as I can tell, the the assembly is designed so that the thermocouple cannot be replaced. You have to buy this entire assembly. The $12.99 shipping fee seemed high, considering that the unit took nearly a week to arrive, not 2 days as indicated by Sears at the time the purchase was made.

Hot water heater's burner and thermocouple.
Thermocouple on new burner was about an quarter inch higher than the pilot light. The old unit's thermocouple was lower compared to the pilot light. The pilot light still goes out after a few days, so I don't know if the new part is defective.

wrong part sent-NO guidance on website
there are two different parts listed for this model with NO description nor distinction as to which one is correct. The website did confirm that the one I ordered was a direct fit. It was NOT.
