Gas dryer won't ignite
My gas dryer would not ignite. The igniter would glow and then turn off because the gas coils had failed. These were easy to swap out if you are decently handy and have confidence taking off the front of the dryer. I would put it at a 3 on a ten scale, but I am fairly handy. There are step by step instructions using Ai or other online searches. Just plug in your model number and you should be able to get the help you need. Took about 20 minutes to swap out. Hardest part is supporting the dryer tub once you take the front of the unit off, the tub wants to sag down and be in your way. I didn't want to remove the tub because then you are dealing with the belt that wraps around the tub and that's more work. Just wedge something (like your knee) under the tub while you take off the bracket that holds the coils in place.

New valve coils solved our problem
Dryer gas would shut off after 18 seconds and not restart unless we waited awhile. Also, it sounded like the current solenoids were chattering a bit. All sensors checked out so we tried a pair of new coils. They worked perfectly. An inexpensive, easy repair to save an old unit.

Solenoid coils for my old Series 70 Kenmore dryer
We've had our Kenmore gas dryer for about 27 years. Things break, but I've replaced thermal fuses, solenoids, etc., and kept it running for all that time.
