Replacement clock timer for Kenmore Electric Oven

the Clock Timer was easy enough to install but the cover plate that I had to pay over $20 for has changed from the original layout and the old one cannot be removed without damaging it. The new design is uglier than previous and doesn't show the control areas as well as before. Why they changed the design is a mystery. In addition, once the oven warms up, both the preheat and oven on lights go out so you can no longer tell the oven is on. the replacement part was cheaper than a new oven, but it remains to be seen if the part lasts more than a year or two. Note that a simple fuse would have prevented the original clock/timer unit from shorting out when the oven heating element failed.

Did not work! Oven temp has no control.

Easy to install Because coven temp would not shut off and the overheating warning alarmed we had to unplug the range. Faulty circuit board wasted money purchasing board
